And the New Year has come! Everyone welcomes a fresh start don’t we? Many blessings to you all in 2022. My consistent prayer is that all who visit here will be comforted by GOD’S words and grace. May this site draw you a little closer to the Messiah, JESUS CHRIST.
If this is your first time visiting…….may you understand the truth that JESUS CHRIST was born and came into the world not to condemn, but to save us all!
We are all on this planet really to glorify GOD. If you are unsure of what your purpose is, then know that your CREATOR has a very specific plan for you, because you are loved more than you will ever know or understand.
HIS BIRTH AND DEATH ARE CONNECTED WITH THE BEAUTIFUL THREAD OF GRACE.

Let us take secure hold of this thread in the New Year. Because it is strong and true, let’s write down a statement of faith, where we currently are in our walks and pray for growth in the New Year. Let’s declare our faith and belief in CHRIST. Writing things down……even if it is just a phrase or word, sticks with you. I have found that New Year’s resolutions don’t last for some reason. But this one word choice, or a statement does.
A statement of faith can be long or short, or a simple one word to hold tightly in your heart all year. But pray about it, then embrace what you wrote and carry it close as it sinks into your soul, all year long. Last year a sweet Sister in Christ shared with me her phrase she chose: Humble and Kind. She embraced it a full year and here is what she said to me what she learned from GOD about her phrase…….”nothing else matters in this earthly life, but GOD and putting HIM first in all things and learning, and I am still learning to keep GOD focused in all conversations…….to be an example for all who are watching. It’s kept me mindful of loving others and being respectful to them, even if we don’t agree on things. God is so amazing in keeping me focused!”
Last year I chose the word: light. By the end of the year I saw and understood so many different ways that the word “light” is used in the Bible. JESUS is the light of the world, the only true light and all who come to HIM are saved in this pure light.
In the story of Martha and Mary, Martha does make a statement of faith to JESUS as HE is visiting her home. She says this:
JOHN 11: 27 “I BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE THE MESSIAH, THE SON OF GOD, WHO IS TO COME INTO THE WORLD.”
Write your statement down so you will remember and place it somewhere you can always see it. You can do the same with a one word choice. Be creative, but most of all be intentional and then watch how GOD shows you and grows you throughout the year, because you remained focused and obedient. You will find yourself sharing your statement or word with others as an encouragement throughout the year.
This year my word is: Messiah. I believe that JESUS is the Messiah and that by believing in HIM we may have life in HIS name. My desire is to honor HIM, praise HIM and put HIM first in all things.
So let your statement be personal, hold it close all year and let the LORD work through you as you walk each day. HE is always there, ready to bless HIS dearly loved children as we all are. May your year be different in 2022, writing HIS words upon your heart.
Blessings and love to you dear reader as we begin this New Year together! Leave me a comment if you have chosen a word or what your statement is…….would love to hear from you!
PROVERBS 7: 3 “TIE THEM ON YOUR FINGERS AS A REMINDER. WRITE THEM DEEP WITHIN YOUR HEART.”
Oh my, I love this post. God bless you and bless you, Maxine.
God sure reveals some deep words to you. “Light” is fathomless. “Messiah” is eternal. Such a smile on my face when I read your new word. I’m all agog to read what God shows you.

“Wait for the Lord” Ps 27:14 is my phrase to hold on to, not just for this year, but always. If you pray and petition the Lord for a certain thing, you need to learn to wait for His answer. It will come but, in His time, not ours. Wait and wait patiently.

I agree on the learning……so often I have to wait until Monday to see what GOD wants me to write about for this blog. Rest in the waiting my friend……it’s ok to be there! Blessings to you in the New Year!
