A THOUSAND AND ONE GRACES

It’s winter and many are seeing the white stuff all around them.  Isn’t our Creator amazing that HE created snowflakes that actually have 35 different shapes?  The warmer and more moist the air is, the more complex these ice crystals are as they freeze.  But we must admit that they are truly beautiful and the LORD pays attention to detail more than we know.

We just finished a season of Thanksgiving and then the grace of the season of light of our LORD JESUS CHRIST at Christmas.  Winter is a season and people welcome in the New Year with hope and celebration.  Snow and the holidays grace us each year and let’s never take this for granted.  We can continue every day of the year to be thankful.  Seasons come and go, but let’s remain faithful and steadfast in our thankfulness for all of GOD’S graces.

1 THESSALONIANS 5:18  “BE THANKFUL IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES, FOR THIS IS GOD’S WILL FOR YOU WHO BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS.”

HIS thousands of graces are right before us, do we see?  Do we take the time to intentionally look and thank HIM?  With the way the world is right now, it might feel hard to walk out the front door.  But HIS graces are immeasurable…….they are there all around and in us too.

While we were still sinners, JESUS died for us……..this is grace upon grace.  If you are able to see and read this blog, it’s a grace upon you.  If you are currently in good health…….it’s grace upon grace.  HIS graces are a thousand and one and much more.  HIS graces never run dry.

A friend of mine chose this phrase for this year of 2022:  BRAVE AND MIGHTY.  All of us need some courage right now during this pandemic.  But we have a mighty GOD, with more grace for us than we will ever know or understand.  We may be living in this difficult world but……

OUR GOD IN HIS INFINITE GRACE, HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD!

JESUS reminded HIS disciples of this:

JOHN 16: 33 “HERE ON EARTH YOU WILL HAVE MANY TRIALS AND SORROWS.  BUT TAKE HEART, BECAUSE I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.”

The CSB version says:  “BE COURAGEOUS.  I HAVE CONQUERED THE WORLD.”

OH TO BE IN HIS GRACE, SO THAT WE MAY LIVE BRAVE AND MIGHTY!

And let’s add when we are in HIS grace, to be continually thankful!  We can be thankful for all HIS graces, all HIS love, all HIS forgiveness, all HIS dying for us, so we could be with HIM in eternity.  This is grace beyond our understanding.  Let us see it and be thankful for a thousand different graces we receive from HIM each day.

Maybe we can begin a list of HIS graces, or even a photo a day.  But whatever we do, we need to notice HIM……..HIS grace is continually upon us and may we never take it for granted.

IN THE UGLY THERE IS STILL BEAUTY, A GRACE THAT ONLY OUR LORD JESUS GIVES US WHEN WE HUMBLY WALK IN HIS GRACE.

HIS Gospel is grace for us and the world.  How much more can we who receive grace upon grace, be HIS messengers of good and forgiveness and love?

ROMANS 10: 15  “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF PEACE.  WHO BRING GLAD TIDINGS OF GOOD THINGS.”

SO this year begin with yourself, list HIS graces upon you.  Be thankful for HIS dying on the Cross for your sins…….then go and share this grace with anyone who will listen.  The world needs HIS hands and feet right now.  Carry HIS joy out the front door into the world around you.

HE IS THE MESSIAH, THE SAVIOR FOR THE WORLD.  JESUS IS GOOD AND PURE AND LOVELY AND FULL OF GRACE FOR US.

BE more thankful in 2022, be brave and be mighty.  Walk securely in HIS graces for you, being obedient and secure in them, because HE loves you and because HIS graces are a thousand and many more!

ISAIAH 30: 18  “YET THE LORD LONGS TO BE GRACIOUS TO YOU; THEREFORE HE WILL RISE UP TO SHOW YOU COMPASSION.”

  1. I realized lately that we can not only overlook God’s blessings, but even complain about them.
“What a mess! What am I going to do with all these leftovers?”
“My (normal, healthy, active) kids are driving me crazy!” etc)
A good exercise is to catch yourself complaining and turn the complaints into thanks. I once had stomach flu so bad, the only thing I could think of being thankful for was that I didn’t feel that way all the time!

    1. Oh yes! I can so relate to what you are saying. When I do complain lately, the Spirit is very convicting of reminding me about HIS grace. HIS grace is all we need! Blessings to you and thank you for your thoughtful comment!
