HE TAKES HOLD OF US!

And so Christmas has come!  Yes, JESUS, the Babe in the Manger has arrived.  Gifts were opened and families have met together.  Love for neighbors was shown.

AND JESUS KEEPS COMING FOR US!

HE keeps coming because HE wants to come into our hearts.

JESUS TAKES HOLD OF YOUR HEART AND MINE.

And when HE does……only when HE does, do we experience a heart transformation.  CHRIST comes for us, every single one……so let HIM keep coming for you.  Make room there, in your aching heart.  Let HIM strip away what doesn’t belong there and let HIM replace those ugly qualities with beautiful ones.

JESUS TAKES HOLD OF US WITH HIS GRACE AND COMPASSION.

1 CHRONICLES 28: 9  “……FOR THE LORD SEARCHES EVERY HEART AND UNDERSTANDS EVERY DESIRE AND EVERY THOUGHT.”

See how well the LORD knows us, knows our hearts?  It’s why HE came at Christmas and it’s why HE keeps coming for us, knocking at the door of our hard hearts.

And knowing that HE keeps coming, let’s keep looking for HIM too!  It takes effort on our part and it takes being intentional…….every……single…….day.  Time spent with HIM in prayer and with HIM in HIS Holy Writ.  Will you spend more time than ever with HIM in the New Year?

1 CHRONICLES 28: 9  “IF YOU SEEK HIM, HE WILL BE FOUND BY YOU……”

If we seek…..we find!  Yes this faith walk is a two way street.  HE keeps coming for us and takes hold of us and our sinful eyes are then opened!  And we realize that we cannot do this life on our own.  We need a Messiah.

JESUS WON’T EVER STOP COMING FOR US!

Taking secure hold of us is quite satisfying……it is freedom knowing this.  When we relinquish ourselves, our hearts and all that we own and love and place it all into HIS secure hands, yes that is freedom.  We are redeemed when we believe and we are loved too.  And when we know HIM in this way, we want to share our stories with others.  We want to share the GOSPEL…….we want to share knowing HE keeps coming for us, holds us, and never let’s us go.

PSALM 107: 2  “LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD TELL THEIR STORY.”

We cry out…….HE takes hold.  What an amazing GOD HE is…….a SAVIOR that keeps coming for us!

PSALM 107: 6  “THEN THEY CRIED OUT TO THE LORD IN THEIR TROUBLE, AND HE DELIVERED THEM FROM THEIR DISTRESS.”

HE delivers us, because HE loves us more than we know and because HE takes secure hold of us.  Because of HIS unfailing love…….HE never lets go.

In this NEW YEAR, let’s be confident that HE holds us…….securely and completely.  Thank HIM today for this fact and remember HE came at CHRISTMAS for you and for me.  HE is SAVIOR, HE is MESSIAH.  HE is CHRIST the LORD!

PSALM 107: 8  “LET THEM GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HIS UNFAILING LOVE AND HIS WONDERFUL DEEDS FOR MANKIND.”

  1. Years ago, there was a book entitled, “In His Grip.” That phrase stuck with me, and has comforted me. His grip is strong and sure, and He will never let me go.
Another image your post brings to mind is one I read not long ago, of a father taking delight in his toddler, playing in his lap. The toddler may not be paying particular attention to his/her dad, but is content to engage in imaginary play, pointing out or telling Dad exclamations of delight or interest. The dad is delighted with this. As I live in my Father’s Hand, He takes delight in me, and I have the security of my Heavenly Father.
