SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

If……..then…….maybe, not sure.  We have so many unknowns in our lives don’t we!  We question and we try to reason through.  GOD knows this about us, and HE has given us many promises to stand upon……..I highlight all those “I WILL’s” in my Bible. I take much comfort from them and you should too.

As I was reading this morning one scripture jumped out at me and it is this one……

1 PETER 2: 3  “…….IF INDEED YOU HAVE TASTED THAT THE LORD IS GOOD.”

If indeed……..if we have come close to GOD seeking HIM with all heart and soul.  Because there are some, who have not.  So this morning may we reflect upon GOD’S goodness to us.  We always put more worry into the why’s and how’s instead of focusing on what is square in front of us!

If indeed……..you are walking with the LORD you can taste and know how good HE is!  HIS goodness is something we can hold onto, every single day of our lives because we have come to HIS table, and tasted.

HE invites us first and then we turn and come to HIM.   Let us come first to honor HIM and then thank HIM, for all HIS glory, for our salvation and for HIS incredible forgiveness.

When you have tasted HIS goodness, then all your worry, all your uncertain thoughts, all your “ifs”  fall away.  Because you are reminded of all HIS goodness in the past and even in the present.  And you know that HE can be trusted with your whole heart!  HIS goodness to us never ends.  So let us hold onto HIS perseverance even with us and in us, because HE never leaves us, ever.  Taste today……and see how good the LORD truly is!

PSALM 86: 5  “FOR YOU, O LORD, ARE GOOD AND FORGIVING, ABOUNDING IN STEADFAST LOVE TO ALL WHO CALL UPON YOU.”

  1. Yes, yes; and then peace like a river can flood our souls.
Your post reminds me of verses always close to my heart: Isaiah 26.3, 4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
