SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

MAY IT GO WELL WITH YOU!

3 JOHN 2 SAYS THIS:

BELOVED, I PRAY THAT ALL MAY GO WELL WITH YOU AND THAT YOU MAY BE IN GOOD HEALTH, AS IT GOES WELL WITH YOUR SOUL.”

What a loving and encouraging verse for us today!  And deep in my heart I do pray that all goes well for anyone reading this.  The word well has many different meanings and ways to use it in the English language.  If you look up it’s definition you will see much there about it.  Sometimes we take words for granted and sometimes we use them carelessly.  But I love how JOHN uses the word:  ……may…….it…….go……..well.

The word well can be used as a noun, verb or adverb.  It’s even used as an adjective.  It’s because of it’s many uses that it is an interesting word.  So here I think JOHN is meaning that we pay careful attention to our lives and in that, may GOD be with us and in us.  Oh and may it “go well with your soul”.  What a wonderful thing to pray for someone because we really love one another when we care about each other’s souls.    Let’s remember those today who need to hear the Gospel.   Let’s remember those who are working out their salvation and those who are sick and broken.  Because with GOD all things are possible and with GOD all things will go well!

PSALM 139: 14   “YOUR WORKS ARE WONDROUS, AND I KNOW THIS VERY WELL.”

May it go well with you today dear one, well with your soul!   Stay  vertical and be strong in the word.  It is eternal and it strengthens us spiritually.   And may you be comforted by this scripture because to go well with GOD is to be very blessed.   Know this too as you begin a new week:

JEREMIAH 29: 11   “FOR I KNOW THE PLANS AND THOUGHTS THAT I HAVE FOR YOU; SAYS THE LORD, PLANS FOR PEACE AND WELL-BEING AND NOT FOR DISASTER, TO GIVE YOU A FUTURE AND A HOPE.  AMP

“Thank you so much for your thoughtful message and the uplifting reminder of the eternal strength found in the word. It’s truly comforting to be reminded that when things go well with God, we are indeed blessed beyond measure. Wishing you a week filled with God’s blessings and the strength to stay grounded in faith.

Let’s walk together in the light of His word. Let’s Grow Together In Christ.”

  2. When we lift our prayers to God, we hope for things to come to a certain pass. But we always KNOW He hears us, and will tailor each circumstance to His glory and our blessing. That’s a beautiful prayer in 3 John, and we can know that it is well with our souls when we are right with God.
