SIMPLY COME

JUST COME TO HIM

If you haven’t yet, I encourage you today to turn to JESUS CHRIST. Simply come…….

MATTHEW 11: 28   “COME TO ME, ALL WHO LABOR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.”

Honestly why do we try in our own strength to carry such a heavy load that we were never meant to carry?  Our Savior knows our souls need rest now more than ever – the world is spinning out of control around us with chaos and wars.  Our only hope is in the Savior JESUS CHRIST.  Why?  Because HE is a rock and a lamb.  And because HE died on the Cross for you and me, just so we could come and be forgiven.

MATTHEW 11: 29   “I AM GENTLE AND LOWLY IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.”

It is simple………JESUS is gentle as a lamb, and as strong as a lion.  You will find rest for your soul, but you have to turn to HIM and come humbly.

JESUS AND HIS INVITATION JUST FOR US TO COME TO HIM IS THE MOST GRACIOUS COMMAND IN THE BIBLE.

I can picture JESUS right now standing before  us, hand lovingly outstretched towards us, smile on HIS face saying: come to me.

HIS command to come means all may come.  No one is excluded no matter what you have done. And this means anyone who is oppressed by circumstance, overworked by routine, physical hardship or even stress.

Only JESUS gives us the rest we need for our souls…….it’s a daily rest that can be found at HIS feet…….a rest of refreshment and rejuvenation.  Nothing in this world will suffice, nothing comes close.  It’s a rest that almost cannot be explained, a heart rest and a soul rest of peace.

ISAIAH 55: 3   “INCLINE YOUR EAR AND COME TO ME; HEAR THAT YOUR SOUL MAY LIVE.”

Oh that our souls may live in HIS rest!  Come today, come humbly, come broken, come one and come all!

MARK 6: 31   “THEN JESUS SAID, “LET’S GO OFF BY OURSELVES TO A QUIET PLACE AND REST AWHILE.”
