Make sure you love someone today. There are people who don’t like Valentines Day because they don’t have a significant other, but this day can mean so much more when you love on and serve those around you. May your heart be soft today, not hardened like the rest of the culture.
1 JOHN 4: 19 “WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.”
GOD loves us……..we can know this because of HIS SON JESUS. JESUS died on the Cross for our sins and HE did this as a loving sacrifice for humanity. What an incredible love and sacrifice to hang on the Cross to be the atonement for our sins. Who else do you know loves like that? No one really, not on this planet.
The purity of GOD’S love is something hard to grasp. Maybe that is because our own love tends to be conditional rather than unconditional. GOD’S love is so perfect and isn’t that what we all want? Oh to be loved like this…….oh to be loved like one of HIS children!
Our understanding of love comes from the love we received as children and that in turn develops our view of how GOD loves us. How often do we think HE cannot love a sinner like us……..but HE does! If we think HE doesn’t love us, then we negate the CROSS. Because HE chose the nails for us, because HE didn’t want to live in eternity without us and so HE offered HIMSELF up as a sacrifice for us. This was and is pure HOLY love.
We cannot love rightly without HIS love……..HIS love is immeasurable and surrounds us, uplifts us, guides us and satisfies us. All GOD wants from us is our worship and our hearts. LOVE HIM with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind. Then you will love others in the best way.
Today remember those around you…….tell as many as you can that you love them. Loving others is worth it, don’t do as the world does, love with a soft heart. Love others because CHRIST first loved you! And know that love is patient and love is kind.

We cannot love rightly without knowing what true love is; and we can’t know that without reading His Word.
