WHEREVER YOUR FEET ARE

YOU can love GOD……..right there, right where your feet are…….did you know?

ISAIAH 52:7  “HOW BEAUTIFUL ON THE MOUNTAINS ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS……..”

I have never thought my feet were beautiful…….they were stuck in figure skates for over 30 years and oh, how I have endured pain with them.  I have broken toes, dealt with corns and all sorts of soreness in my ankles.  Breaking in a new pair of skates is very hard and very painful.  So no, my feet today are not pretty.

But where our feet take us can be beautiful………every step we take is seen by our LORD.  And every step we take is GOD ordained.  No matter what condition your feet are in today Christian, they are beautiful in the eyes of the LORD.

Some people’s feet are as pretty as a picture and for some it looks as if they have been through a war.  But however your feet look, it is the only two you have to take you where you need to go every single day.  Our feet do a lot for us, so appreciate them, because there are some people who don’t have them do to a tragedy or an injury from war.

Your feet help you to do many things and wherever you go, GOD goes with you.

ROMANS 10: 15  “AND HOW ARE THEY TO PREACH UNLESS THEY ARE SENT?”

Our LORD sends us to preach the good news.  We are not to keep it for ourselves but to live our lives for HIM and show the world what HE has done for us.

MAKE SURE YOUR FEET ARE SECURE IN THE LORD.

Let us stand secure in our faith, because one day, we will stand before HIM.  And oh to hear: “you did well, good and faithful servant”!  In Luke 7 we can learn much from the sinful woman who broke her alabaster jar over JESUS’ feet.  She kept kissing HIS feet and saw them as beautiful and priceless.  She knew and understood what JESUS could do for her and therefore showed her faith in adoration and JESUS being the GOD that HE is, forgave her of her sins.

MAY GOD FORGIVE US FOR THE SINS OUR FEET HAVE CARRIED US INTO!

And may GOD guide our feet on the sinless paths of righteousness.  HIS path is ours when we believe, and HE guides us and steadies our steps.  Our feet and where they go, are highly important to our Savior.  JESUS washed the disciple’s feet, an act of submission and love and what an example that is for us……..

JOHN 13: 14  “IF I THEN, YOUR LORD AND TEACHER, HAVE WASHED YOUR FEET, YOU ALSO OUGHT TO WASH ONE ANOTHER’S FEET.”

May our feet take us to places we never thought possible, knowing that each step is ordained by our great GOD.  So be thankful today for the two feet you have, whatever the condition they are in!  Your feet are beautiful in HIS eyes.  Walk securely in your faith and in your love for others and know that wherever your feet are, so is the LORD walking with you!

PSALM 18: 33  “HE MAKES MY FEET LIKE THE FEET OF A DEAR; HE CAUSES ME TO STAND ON THE HEIGHTS.”

  1. In his sermon this past Sunday, our pastor said a phrase I hadn’t heard before: “the circle around my feet.”
He explained that it meant God’s circle around our feet, and it symbolized our responsibility toward Him to remember, repent, and return. No one else is in that circle – we, alone, have a responsibility before God.
I like to think of that circle in conjunction with your post – the circle is glowing, and it is God’s Spirit, with me always. May it humble me to remember that, in those times when I’m tempted to take that circle with me to places I should not go.
