A tearing away of all pretense and pride will eventually happen before GOD. HE always has a way to humble us and HE wants us to come before HIM with a humble spirit. It becomes a true looking at yourself in the mirror and realizing before the CROSS who you really are………a sinner in need of a Savior. We need the Messiah to stand in our place because we cannot stand before a HOLY GOD, not now, not ever. We cannot get cleaned up enough!
BEING VULNERABLE AND UNGUARDED BEFORE THE LORD IS A GOOD THING.
We cannot hide all that we are before the LORD because HE knows us and knew us before we were born.
PSALM 139: 13 “YOU KNITTED ME TOGETHER IN MY MOTHER’S WOMB.”
So you can let your guard down and let the tears flow while you tell HIM your heart. But most of all, take off your shoes and know that your vulnerable self is standing on HOLY ground. Come vulnerable, come reverent, but come with all that you are without hiding a thing.
EXODUS 3: 5 “………TAKE YOUR SANDALS OFF YOUR FEET, FOR THE PLACE ON WHICH YOU ARE STANDING IS HOLY GROUND.”
The LORD spoke to Moses in that way, making him aware of WHO he was standing before on that day. Moses saw a burning bush before him…….and we should be looking and aware too…….
REVERENT, VULNERABLE, UNGUARDED AND WORSHIPFUL
The LORD knows that we need HIM more than we need anyone else around us. We need HIM more than ourselves too.

Let’s be grateful for any wounds or hard situations that push us closer to GOD! Because without HIM, we are lost, drifting in the sea of sin and worldly conflicts. HE doesn’t want us there, HE wants us close before HIM, continually and without ceasing. HE wants that vulnerable relationship with HIM and to just abide there in HIS grace. So come before HIM today with a vulnerable heart and know that you are very loved.
Moses might be one of the men most truly closest to God. He argued with God, he pleaded with God, he prayed for his people, and God listened. God tells us that Moses was more humble than any man on the face of the earth (Num 12.3). And Moses often fell facedown before the Lord for his people. God spoke with him as a man speaks face to face as a friend.
We must remember that God does the same with us. He is within us, and knows us inside-out. And I believe He gives us special blessings when we are vulnerable and unguarded before Him. On our way to becoming more like Jesus, God gives us a human picture, in Moses, of what that might look like.

Great point about MOSES……what an example for us. Humbling as well. Yes GOD wants us to abide with HIM, truly walk, pray and obey HIM. I always tend to think HE knows me better than myself. It is why I trust HIM so very much!

When I “put on the belt of Truth,” I think of Jesus (the Way, Truth, and Life), wrapping His arms around me and holding me close to Him, like a parent holds a small, squirming child. He keeps me close enough to Him to protect me, and when I’m finished squirming, I fall back on Him and rest, like a baby sleeping on his daddy’s chest. We are helpless, vulnerable, and utterly dependent, but He is utterly dependable. ❤
