SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

GOD’S divine hand is so indescribable isn’t it?  There are so many ways HE shows HIS hand and love to us……..it should leave us speechless.

A small way GOD touched me today was when I read in a devotional (that I opened to any page) a particular scripture that I had just committed to memory was there right before me again.  And it was this one…….

JOSHUA 1: 9  “HAVE I NOT COMMANDED YOU?  BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS.  DO NOT BE FRIGHTENED AND DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.”

I prefer the ESV version because of the words: frightened and dismayed.  A cancer diagnosis will do that to you, frighten you and dismay you.  You will have an alarmed concern for your future at first until GOD begins to speak to you.

And so, since I had been carrying this particular scripture in my heart and mind since June, I knew that seeing it the way I did today was no accident.  It was GOD reaffirming to me that HE is with me, no matter what is ahead of me, and that I should put all my fears aside and rest in HIS arms, because HE is with me as provider and Savior.

GOD’S divine hand touches us in big and small ways…….HIS loving hand seems to reach into your soul when you least expect it.  But when it does, you will notice and be in awe and realize that HE gave you a gift that you needed just then………HIS amazing grace.  HE knows what we need at the right time to make a profound impression upon us and then to go and share HIS touch with others.

Have you had GOD touch you in a small way recently that it was unmistakable that it was HIM?  I would love to hear!

ACTS 2: 43:  “AND AWE CAME UPON EVERY SOUL…….”

  1. What a blessing to meditate on you nestled in the palm of God’s Hand, receiving His love and care, communing with Him with a grateful heart.
And expanding that to those others I know who are suffering. Even those who do not know God; He cares for each one, gives to each as only He can know to do.

    1. Excellent on how you said this Kathy: nestled in the palm of GOD’S HAND. I do feel as if I am right there. I do pray words are said here to glorify GOD as we were designed to do in all things! Be blessed today my friend!
