SUNDAY REFLECTIONS

I recently spent 8 days back in Colorado and was able to reflect on the beauty of those majestic mountains.  My soul was filled as my mind and heart reflected.  After I arrived home my son and I were chatting and he came up with this idea of Sunday Reflections.  My son then gets all the credit for this idea, but our beautiful Savior gets all the glory!  I have always wanted to write more, but found a full- on post overwhelming.  So each Sunday I will commit to a small encouraging post for you, dear reader to begin your week.  You will still get notice of it in your email.  It won’t take much time…….just something to reflect upon each week.  Hope you will follow…….and hope it fills your sweet tender soul.

SUNDAY REFLECTION……..

Does JESUS captivate you?  Are you compelled to live for HIM in all you do?  Or are there too many voices clamouring for your attention?  I have realized that it is ok to say that lovely word: NO!  Find time today to spend with JESUS.  Maybe it’s Church, or watching online, Bible study or just reading and reading EVEN more of HIS amazing book.  Turn off social media and spend eternal time with the LORD.  HE is calling you to spend time with HIM and understands how precious it is to us.  HE wants relationship with you because HE loves you more than you know.  No time spent in eternal things is ever a waste of time.  So stop, be still and let HIS spirit guide you today and throughout this next week!

HOW AND WHAT IS YOUR WAY OF SPENDING A TYPICAL SUNDAY?  What are your reflections this Sunday?

ROMANS 12: 2  “DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY THE TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT.”

  1. Glad you had a good trip. Many years ago, I went to summer camp in Colorado, and I agree, there’s just something about being in the mountains that makes you feel close to God. I have some very special memories of Sunday evening vespers, sitting on the side of the mountain as the sun was setting.

  2. What a lovely idea! I thank your son, Jesus, and you. 😊
Beautiful photos Like the beach, those majestic vistas take one’s breath away. We took a driving trip to Alaska, and everywhere we looked was breath-taking.
On Sundays, we enjoy Sunday School and church service (we have a great church, and a Bible-passionate preacher). We do have our “church chores” afterward, but they serve to reinforce the sermon, and they’re fairly short. And we rest and enjoy each other and God.
