MATTERS OF REFRESHING

For everything there is a season…….

ECCLESIASTES 3:1 “…….AND A TIME FOR EVERY MATTER UNDER HEAVEN.”

There is a time to live and a time to die and there are times of war and times of peace.  Such are the matters of life as we know it.  Our lives have a beginning and an end.  But what we do and how we live in-between is what matters.

Life is hard…….life has been very hard during this pandemic season.  There is the virus, there are lockdowns and unemployment.  We can clearly see all the tragedy in this, and it is worldwide!

Each of us has found a way…….a way of dealing with this particular season.  I have spoken to many friends who say  they feel GOD drawing them closer to HIM in a profound way.

For such a season as this, with GOD…..

THERE ARE TIMES OF REFRESHING!

ACTS 3: 19  “REPENT, THEN, AND TURN TO GOD, SO THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE WIPED OUT, THAT TIMES OF REFRESHING MAY COME FROM THE LORD.”

During this season, GOD will refresh your soul if you will humbly come before HIM.  Let’s refresh ourselves today in HIS word…….

ISAIAH 58: 11  “AND THE LORD WILL GUIDE YOU CONTINUALLY AND SATISFY YOUR DESIRE IN SCORCHED PLACES AND MAKE YOUR BONES STRONG; AND YOU SHALL BE LIKE A WATERED GARDEN, LIKE A SPRING WATER, WHOSE WATERS DO NOT FAIL.”

OUR LORD right now in 2020……..is our only source of refreshment.  Did you know?  No one and no one thing will satisfy us…….ever.

PSALM 23: 2-3  “HE LEADS ME BESIDE STILL WATERS.  HE RESTORES MY SOUL.”

When we delight in the LORD…….when we spend time with HIM, there are continued times of refreshing…….

PSALM 1: 3  “HE IS LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY STREAMS OF WATER THAT YIELD IT’S FRUIT IN IT’S SEASON, AND IT’S LEAF DOES NOT WITHER.”

Come today to the LORD’S fountain of refreshment……it never runs dry!  Our faith and our souls may feel dry, but our source, our Sovereign LORD, has an endless supply of refreshment!  Trust in this!

Repent and turn back…….and receive GOD’S refreshing relief, a soul relief, washed in HIS grace, mercy and forgiveness.

GOD DRAWS US NEAR ONLY TO MAKE US SPIRITUALLY ALIVE AND REFRESHED!

Because GOD is so good…….let’s continually trust HIS provision of refreshing that often comes to us when we need it the most!

During this season that is upon us with Thanksgiving coming and Christmas too…....refresh yourself daily in HIS word, pray and worship as much as possible.

It’s actually a blessing to slow down during this season.  We don’t have to do things as we have always done them.  Make HIS refreshing you a priority, so that you can better serve your family and neighbors.  Sit and be still in HIS waters.   HIS love will refresh you, so your love will refresh others.

Be still today and refresh yourself…….do this often.  Make sure that you touch and know HIS living waters for you.  Let them wash away all your concerns and fears and feel HIS joy within your heart.

Because of this year of 2020, we all need the LORD’S refreshing more than we realize, so rest on these words from JESUS…..

JOHN 4: 14  “…….BUT WHOEVER DRINKS OF THE WATER THAT I WILL GIVE HIM WILL NEVER BE THIRSTY AGAIN.  THE WATER THAT I WILL GIVE HIM WILL BECOME IN HIM A SPRING OF WATER WELLING UP TO ETERNAL LIVE.”

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL MY FOLLOWERS.  I AM TRULY THANKFUL FOR EACH ONE OF YOU. YOUR COMMENTS REFRESH ME MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW!

  1. Ah, I am refreshed to read this! Jesus’ living waters fill and refresh us, indeed!
And He will do so forever: Revelations 7.17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
There is no refreshment or peace like that of repenting and having a clean conscience.
Blessed Thanksgiving to you, Maxine; and thank you for the blessings you spread in each post.
