IMMEASURABLE RICHES IN CHRIST

I have learned something living in the desert…….GOD provides for all HIS creation in a well thought out way.  When I really pay attention, I am struck by the wonder of it all and I realize that HIS riches are immeasurable!

Praising GOD can begin in Creation, but our praise should remain upon the Creator.  Knowing HIS character should stun us, convict us and leave us in awe!  Oh let us never become lukewarm when it comes to GOD!  HE won’t have it…….HE wants all of us, heart and soul.

So let’s ponder for a minute the amazing riches of CHRIST and what we as followers have in HIM.  Our finite minds try to limit GOD because we only understand how to measure the world around us.  BUT GOD!

OUR GOD IS LIMITLESS, BOUNDLESS AND TOO EXTREME TO MEASURE.

Let’s look at what Paul says about GOD…….

EPHESIANS 1: 19 “…….AND WHAT IS THE IMMEASURABLE GREATNESS OF HIS POWER TOWARD US WHO BELIEVE.”

HIS power is great and it resides in us through the Holy Spirit.  In CHRIST, we have this power.  This is an amazing gift we have and it should in and of itself…….stun us!

Let’s see again in Ephesians, what Paul reminds us of………

EPHESIANS 2: 7-8 “…….SO THAT IN THE COMING AGES HE MIGHT SHOW THE IMMEASURABLE RICHES OF HIS GRACE IN KINDNESS TOWARD US IN CHRIST JESUS.”

In CHRIST…….HIS kindness toward us is immeasurable.  We cannot find an end to it……it goes deep, deeper than any well of kindness we could find here on earth.  Take this to heart…..

HIS KINDNESS, GRACE AND MERCY TOWARD US CANNOT BE MEASURED!

Oh we do try, but as soon as we figure there is an end, we soon realize that GOD’S well of grace is infinite!  And what a comfort to know that GOD has extended these riches upon us…….even when we don’t deserve it.  YES, CHRIST LOVES US THAT MUCH!

And think on this……..we can try to put our minds around the whole idea of immeasurable riches and gifts from GOD but…….

we will spend all of eternity marveling at all HE has given us and will give us!

Here on earth to discover these gifts we don’t need to reach higher for them…….actually we need to reach lower.  We only have a small understanding of these gifts when we decrease ourselves.  You see we must…….

DECREASE IN ORDER FOR GOD TO INCREASE!

Only with submission of ourselves, and all that we have, do we allow HIS riches to wash over us.  And only when we stand in the shadow of the CROSS do we see just what CHRIST did for our sins.  We can’t claim any credit, or demand HIS love, no, only a denial of self, allows for being able to see just a touch of what we have in CHRIST, and HE alone is the immeasurable gift!

PSALM 111: 4 “HE HAS CAUSED HIS WONDROUS WORKS TO BE REMEMBERED; THE LORD IS GRACIOUS AND MERCIFUL.”

When we are on our knees we truly realize who our immeasurable HOLY GOD is!  HIS blessings upon us and around us are endless and HE is so gracious to give us just what we need every day and every day after, until all of eternity.

PSALM 106: 2 “WHO CAN DECLARE THE LORD’S MIGHTY ACTS OR PROCLAIM ALL THE PRAISE DUE HIM?”

And what about all those blessings we don’t see?  What about HIS protections?  There is much we don’t see or even understand…….those riches of HIS are immeasurable too!

LET US BE PROFOUNDLY TOUCHED BY GOD’S BIGNESS!

As we each move along in our journeys, let us never allow our view of GOD to become small.  No, if anything, our view will and should see HIM as limitless, boundless, amazing and immeasurable!

Look up today…….see the expanse of HIS sky and know…….know that HE is even bigger than all we can imagine!  We have theses riches in CHRIST, because HE first loved us!

PSALM 103: 12 “AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST, SO FAR HAS HE REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS FROM US.”
