THERE IS ALWAYS MORE OF GOD

There is always more………in our culture there always seems to be more of anything…….more colors, more styles, more stuff, more food, you name it.  There is more.

And the idea of more depends upon a person’s perspective.  There are many people who view the world as having less……..less money, less stuff, less kindness, less tolerance, less love.

Whether you are a glass is half full or glass is half empty kind of person, one thing that scripture shows us is this……..

THERE IS ALWAYS MORE OF GOD.

Because GOD is eternal, endless and all sovereign over all of creation, there is always more of HIM.

TITUS 3:5 “HE POURED OUT HIS SPIRIT ON US ABUNDANTLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR SAVIOR.”

And think on this for a moment.  When I say “GOD I need you more, more of YOUR love, YOUR word, YOUR comfort, YOUR forgiveness, YOUR strength……..

HE ANSWERS WITH MORE.

Those who come to the deep well of GOD will never find it dry!

We are invited by GOD to come humbly to that well whenever we want, because HE is a gracious GOD who won’t turn anyone away.  When depending upon HIM, we find in the well even deeper wisdom and deeper strength, a closer love and intimacy that the world cannot provide.

THE WELL OF GOD RUNS BEYOND ANY DEPTH WE CAN IMAGINE.

We think our pain runs deep……..GOD’S comfort goes even deeper.  We think we are walking in the lowest of valleys……..GOD walks alongside us as long as we are there and even beyond.

WE CAN DEPEND ON GOD FOR ENDLESS COMFORT.

The Cross alone allows us to come to HIM over and over again to the ONE who died for us because of HIS abundant love for us……..

HIS LOVE FOR US IS MORE THAN WE CAN COMPREHEND.

Our great GOD sent JESUS, IMMANUEL, GOD with us and because of this fact, we can have more of HIM.  And let’s admit it……..because we are a broken people, we always want more.  More was even wanted in the Garden.  After GOD gave both Adam and Eve everything they could possibly want, didn’t Eve want more knowledge?

Our GOD knows we are a people wanting more and so HE offers……..more of HIMSELF.

2 CORINTHIANS 9: 15 “THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS INDESCRIBABLE GIFT!”

HIS more is because of our less than.  Our secure relationship in HIM leads us to strive for more of HIM.  Our wanting more is a striving that is put there by the HOLY SPIRIT.  We are a chosen body of believers who want more………more love, more grace, more forgiveness and more of JESUS. Let us be rest assured in our salvation, because of JESUS we always have more!

LUKE 10:29 “MY FATHER WHO HAS GIVEN THEM TO ME, IS GREATER THAN ALL.  NO ONE IS ABLE TO SNATCH THEM OUT OF THE FATHER’S HAND.”
