What we see and how we view GOD does determine how we live and how that living is a perseverance that leads to the Kingdom.
Oh there is so much to “see” and view in our present times! With the internet and social media we have a world to view daily. How much time do we waste on meaningless views! Shouldn’t we keep our gaze on our beautiful LORD? If my gaze remains upon HIM, doesn’t that put all else in perspective?
PSALM 94:9 “HE WHO PLANTED THE EAR, DOES HE NOT HEAR? HE WHO FORMED THE EYE, DOES HE NOT SEE?”
A good eye sees GOD as a precious ONE, a gift to be treasured above all else in the here and now; a treasure above all possessions and especially our money. A good eye sees CHRIST’S mercy more valuable than money or possessions and does not envy the world and anything it has to offer.
A GOOD EYE TREASURES JESUS CHRIST!
A good eye sees the CROSS as an undeserved gift. When we are mindful of GOD and the CROSS we truly “see” HIM and HIS precious gift of mercy and grace for our sins.
A good eye treasures the character of CHRIST and why HE died for us!
I don’t know about you, but I desire with whole heart to gaze upon HIS goodness and love for me each and every day. And so, a good eye is filled with light and not darkness.
May our eyes gaze upon the wonders of our LORD…….
PSALM 119:18 “OPEN MY EYES, THAT I MAY BEHOLD WONDROUS THINGS OUT OF YOUR LAW.”
Our eyes are the lamp of our bodies……..may they be filled only with light. Pay attention to what your eyes see. Bring into focus all that is good and right and pure.
LUKE 11: 34 “YOUR EYE IS THE LAMP OF YOUR BODY. WHEN YOUR EYES ARE HEALTHY, YOUR WHOLE BODY ALSO IS FULL OF LIGHT.”
Healthy eyes, light-filled eyes, eyes that gaze upon goodness and never hate are eyes that have seen the LORD! Let us turn our eyes away from all the negativity that is around us, especially the garbage that floats around social media……..turn your eyes away!
Sometimes turning our eyes away is a very hard thing……..but we always have a choice as to what we will click on, and what our eyes will read. Shouldn’t we gaze upon scripture instead? Let’s choose HIS WORD instead………let’s choose JESUS.
Our gaze upon the Holy Scriptures is the only true and pure thing our eyes should see.
Let’s all be vigilant and strive to fight for what we see…….keeping our eyes good, having a single eye for our only treasure, JESUS our LORD and SAVIOR!
PSALM 121: 1-2 “I LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS. FROM WHERE DOES MY HELP COME? MY HELP COMES FROM THE LORD, WHO MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH.”
