YOU DO have a Purpose!

Christians come to understand that our lives are lived with a purpose, no matter how big or how small.  Everyone wants a life of purpose and meaning.

Living a life with purpose becomes an abundant life.

No matter where you are, where you come from or what your background, or what your sin, you, yes you, have been redeemed with a purpose……..there are GOD-given gifts that you have and they should be lived out for HIS glory alone.

HIS GRACE IS A GIFT………LET US LIVE FOR HIS GLORY EVERYDAY!

I always think: “GOD, should I be doing something else or something bigger and better”?  We tend to look at the bigger purpose rather than what is right in front of us.  For me as time goes on, I see that my purpose right now is to write for the LORD whenever I can.  I am always amazed that HE gives me a subject to write about whenever I am clueless as to what to say here on this blog.  HE never fails to show me, and so I obey each week and bring HIM the glory.

Because of the leading of the HOLY SPIRIT, we can discern what our purpose is…….

PSALM 20:4 “MAY HE GIVE YOU WHAT YOUR HEART DESIRES AND FULFILL YOUR WHOLE PURPOSE.”

When we find our whole purpose in the LORD, we will feel fulfilled, content, loved and complete.  You see, HE completes us and because HE does, our hearts overflow with abundance into everything we do!

Your current situation in life is in no way random, did you know?  Our current assignment is provided by our GOD of grace……..

1 CORINTHIANS 7: 17 “LET EACH ONE LIVE HIS LIFE IN THE SITUATION THE LORD ASSIGNED WHEN GOD CALLED HIM.”

Please don’t discount anything you know or do……through the SPIRIT, you will recognize your gifts.

Recently I was having a conversation with my walking friend and she said sometimes just doing the laundry and house cleaning seems so meaningless…….sometimes our days seem so daily!  But so often our purpose is our daily living in our homes with little ones and our spouses.  Right in front of us is our mission field!

We all experience those days, and we all have that common experience of becoming unsettled with our situation.  But we are to stay the course.  GOD says this:

1 CORINTHIANS 15:58  “THEREFORE MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, BE STEADFAST, IMMOVABLE, ALWAYS EXCELLING IN THE LORD’S WORK, BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOUR LABOR IN THE LORD IS NOT IN VAIN.”

Dear brothers and sisters, you are where you are today, because where you are, you have the ability to bring GOD’S glory there!  So do all work you do, no matter how menial, with all priority as if working for the LORD.

It’s ok if you feel you aren’t where you should be………GOD is guiding your every step, no matter how small or big or whether it is even a stumble!  GOD guides and GOD provides!

Your purpose is right now, at this moment…….it is the next step you take and the next word you utter!

Submitting to the LORD and HIS spirit is the comfort and hope for us, that HE will show us our purpose, especially if it isn’t obvious.  We just need to wait, remain steadfast and be aware.  HIS answer is right around the corner.

Let us listen to others who may be speaking for the LORD.  How often has someone said to you out of the blue“you are really good at …………….. (fill in the blank).  You will know this observation comes from the LORD when you can’t see it in yourself!  It will make you stop and say, really? Me?

I have come to think that not “seeing” and feeling like we are uncertain of our purpose is maybe a good thing……..because when we strive to know and we pray and hope and wonder and look to GOD for answers, it keeps us from being prideful!

Over time when we come to find our purpose, we do become useful for HIS kingdom…….and so GOD defines and prepares us now for future steps, whatever those are!  So hard as it may be, be certain of the LORD’S purpose for you, don’t compare yourself with anyone else, look at your current assignment from GOD……it is your true purpose right now!  And HE promises to always be with you and HE will always equip you……..thank HIM for that promise of HIS amazing grace for you.  GOD wants your life to be abundant and purposeful friend, rest in that!

HIS PRESENCE AND POWER IS IN YOU!  BE PERSISTENT IN REALIZING YOUR WONDERFUL PURPOSE IN LIFE.  DON’T EVER GIVE UP LOOKING, BECAUSE GOD WILL ANSWER YOU AND SHOW YOU!

2 PETER 1:10-11 “THEREFORE BROTHERS, BE ALL THE MORE DILIGENT TO CONFIRM YOUR CALLING AND ELECTION, FOR IF YOU PRACTICE THESE QUALITIES YOU WILL NEVER FALL.  FOR IN THIS WAY THERE WILL BE RICHLY PROVIDED FOR YOU AN ENTRANCE INTO THE ETERNAL KINGDOM OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
