A CONDITION WE WEREN’T DESIGNED FOR

We were designed by GOD for many things in this life.  We were designed for the wonderful and spectacular, for love and joy and forgiveness.  But there is one condition we were never designed for and that is the condition of being all alone.

Remember what GOD did for Adam?  HE saw that Adam was alone and HE said this…….

GENESIS 2:18 “IT IS NOT GOOD THAT THE MAN SHOULD BE ALONE; I WILL MAKE HIM A HELPER FIT FOR HIM.”

Because of GOD’S great wisdom and compassion, HE saw Adam tinkering around in the Garden all by himself and HE knew Adam needed a companion.  Eve was then created from Adam’s rib and called: woman.  Now man had a woman as his life partner!

Our GOD is truly the GOD of relationship!  And in turn, we should honor and respect all relationships that are part of our lives.  They are there for a reason.  Always invest time with GOD first, since your relationship with HIM is a priority, but then, find the time to spend with family and friends.  Are you?

Do you only seem to have time for yourself or do you make time for others?  You have to be intentional about your time and set it aside for others, because in this day and age, time flies and the world has a way of eating up our precious time and throwing it away never to return again.

I love the fact that JESUS always made time for others, but there were times when HE was alone……..HE did spend time alone praying to HIS FATHER and HE even spent 40 days alone in the desert.  But really, HE was never alone.  HIS FATHER was with HIM.  And HE was in good company…….

MARK: 1:13 “AND HE WAS IN THE WILDERNESS FORTY DAYS, BEING TEMPTED BY SATAN.  AND HE WAS WITH THE WILD ANIMALS, AND THE ANGELS WERE MINISTERING TO HIM.”

GOD sends friends and people into our lives so that we won’t be alone…….honor and treasure and invest time in those relationships. We can also be certain that when we are in our wilderness, if family or friends leave us that GOD doesn’t desert us, because HE doesn’t want us alone……..

DEUTERONOMY 31:6 “………FOR IT IS THE LORD YOUR GOD WHO GOES WITH YOU.  HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU.”

I don’t know about you, but I like knowing GOD is looking right over my shoulder and I know that when I don’t “feel” HIM there……..HE IS!  Sometimes, we move away from HIM for one reason or another.  We push HIM away or set HIM aside.  I wonder how JESUS feels about that?  HE is always there for us, so shouldn’t we always be there for HIM?

Seeking HIM and finding HIM means: relationship.  Loving HIM and knowing HIM and HIS truth and all that JESUS stands for means a deeper relationship!

PSALM 17:7 “WONDROUSLY SHOW YOUR STEADFAST LOVE, O SAVIOR OF THOSE WHO SEEK REFUGE……..”

So here is a hard question: are you in a relationship with your GOD that you trust?  Or do you mistrust HIM, wondering if HIS promises are true?

Do you feel if you do something bad that HE will leave you?  Because HE won’t…….it’s not in HIS nature.  All you need to do is read HIS promises daily and you will realize that HIS relationship with you is paramount to HIS nature.  No matter what season of life you are in, HE is always near.

JOHN 14:18 “I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU AS ORPHANS; I WILL COME TO YOU.”

Once again, do you notice the “I WILL”?  GOD doesn’t leave us alone, because HE can’t.  So if you think or feel you are all alone, you aren’t.  HE walks beside you, HE carries you and blesses you with HIS presence.

So seek HIM and you will find HIM……..and when you do, you will never be alone again!  Because of HIS grace for us, then let us rejoice with JESUS as HE said to HIS disciples……

JOHN 16: 32 “BEHOLD, THE HOUR IS COMING, INDEED IT HAS COME, WHEN YOU WILL BE SCATTERED, EACH TO HIS OWN HOME, AND WILL LEAVE ME ALONE.  YET I AM NOT ALONE, FOR THE FATHER IS WITH ME.”

  1. What a comforting message Maxine. I love the scriptures that point to how much God loves us, wants a relationship with us and wants us to seek Him.
